Well I had called a NY congresswoman when I was stuck in a H1 name check. I found them open and willing to help. She even contacted the FBI.
Well I am just an ordinary person, and the same as everyone here, and not saying I will do everything myself. There are persons who are better skilled at this and know the immigration law better.
Also don't rule out lobbying, I just said we also need something else that should justify our case without a lobby. I'm asking for suggestions or ideas.
I may be new here, If you see my post on the other forum, I'm asking for the creation of an organization with skilled people who will create a new campaign among legal immigrants. Kind of like Grass roots movement.

All you have done is made a phone call to a lawmaker office. Before you start a poll go and meet your lawmaker and learn how to talk to lawmakers. That will be a good start.

Each and every call counts. It all adds up. This is a democracy. The more calls that these offices get, we have a better chance that they would take a balanced view towards these bills.
So, please do NOT get distracted or get into long drawn debates. the admins have done a lot of the groundwork, given a script and are asking people to call. Let us not second guess them or try to play 'smart alec'.

Wow! it sure varies by a lot..I just spent $190 for the same
It varies depending on the physician. I paid $475 for everything blood work to test immunizations + TB test + Physical exam. This is for one person.
Same physician, my friend went with all medical records and she charged only $250 for doing physical and TB test.
I got the report with in 3 days. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I applied on 4/19. No response yet. Mine is expiring in end of July.

you cannot take one guy's response and generalize.
Majority of EB2 members understand the problems faced by EB3. They are willing to work together. However it must be something better than the status quo.
The strategies and solution presented must benefit vast majority of people rather than one specific group.
I am totally against any effort that undermines one group and favor's other.
Visa recapture is the only permanent solution to our problems.

I called them once in the past (my date was current then) and they returned the call saying that the administration has certain policies on immigration and there is nothing much they can do at the given point of time.
Hence i refrained from it. Does it really help? They might have already forgotten my name by now.

I never said all this crap. you could be what you are.. There are probably more qualified people who didn't get a chance to get the same f***ng benefits you enjoy.. IV is trying to help them.. It is impossible to show that because of your 100$ bill, you GC is printed 20 sec faster.. If you don't believe in what is going on in IV, take a hike..

Like thousands of applicants who did not donate, I was a beneficiary of July 2007 fiasco.
Whether others believe it or not, I realized that there was something IV did.
Eventually I started the donations.
Though very negligible against others who make $300, $500 frequently, I am not afraid of making them regularly.
It is not for what IV is going to do for me, but for what they have already done.

I have an approved LC and I-140 on an entry level position (EB3) with my company. after I got a promotion to a senior position that requires a masters degree but with a smilar job description but more senior and supervisory responsabilities with the same company. after promotion, I filed for a new LC (EB2) but it got rejected because DOL thinks it is the same position as the already approved LC. my company and I wrote a letter as an appeal on Sep 2006 within 30 days from rejection of LC to BALCA explaining that new position requires a masters degree and it is a senior position with more supervisory duties. as of today, almost a year later, we haven't heard anything regarding DOL (BALCA) decision on my appeal. is anybody in the same situation?? what should I do next?? also I read somewhere that DOl might revoke the already approved LC EB3 after I filed a second LC for EB2 with the same employer. can DOL revoke the first LC EB3 after I have an approved I-140?? please help. When I did it a few months ago, it took close to 90 days. And, once you submit, you are at their mercy. No information is given, phone calls always end up in 'this mailbox is full crap'.
So, if you need it much faster, I would suggest either calling them prior to submitting and checking if their times have improved or going there in person. I am not sure if that makes a difference.
The 10 day return is supposedly for people who got their passports through Houston. For passports issued in India, it may take up to 90 days.

If you think, the housing crisis is because of defaulters, you are partially wrong! Prices went very high and people couldnt buy and that is the reason home prices went down. Since it went down, loans backed up by those very assets lost value. And people defaulted because what they owe was higher than the value of home!

And there is huge, huge difference between $20k car and $700-800k house in SF Bay area.
Finally, I think you are also partially right - even today the banks don't have proper checks for mortgages. The rate is down upto to 4.5% and there is not much change in the policy. All that 20% down thing will never happen in anytime in near future! There are just no takers!!
You really need a good tax refund from the government! File your taxes soon!

Also I will direct the folks struck in chicago to you, they can hire you if they want you to represent them or I will ask them how do they want to proceed.
If we give the case number and employer name, would there be any impact/side effect ?

Dont you (the applicant) have to sign the application? If she completes the application on sunday...you should go and sign it(only if you are in same city)...
